Pride Progress Flag
The well-known "Pride Progress Flag" is a universal and worldwide symbol for the LGBTQAI+ movement. It represents the diversity within the community and the ongoing progress towards equality and acceptance.
The design of the flag is an updated version of the rainbow flag, which has symbolised the diversity of sexual orientations and gender identities since the late 1970s. In addition to the rainbow colours red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple, it contains five other colours that taper to the right to symbolise the progress of the movement.
Black and brown represent queer people of colour (PoC) and highlight the importance of equality. Light blue, pink and white symbolise the trans movement and solidarity within the community. The yellow triangle with a purple circle on the far left symbolises intersexuality.
